Hot-air balloons over Cappadocia at sunrise
Türkiye · A trip I plan

Cappadocia, slowly.

Cave rooms, one balloon morning, and the valleys on foot before anyone else is awake.

Bee’s take

Most people give Cappadocia two nights and spend both of them tired. Make it four, and it will anchor the calmest week of your year.

Here’s what actually matters: a cave room you want to come back to, one balloon morning when the weather says yes, and the valleys on foot before the tour buses wake up. Every trip is shaped around your dates, your people and your pace.

You’ll stay in two and visit the rest. I choose which based on how you like to spend a morning.

Questions I’m asked

Before you book.

When is the best time to visit Cappadocia?

April to June and September to October. Days are mild, mornings are cool, and balloon flights are most reliable. Winter is quiet and beautiful, but more flights are cancelled.

How many nights do you need in Cappadocia?

Four at minimum. I usually plan seven across two bases, so a cancelled balloon morning never decides how the trip goes.

What happens if the balloon flight is cancelled?

Flights depend on the wind and are often called off. I book your first full morning and keep the following mornings free as back-ups.

Is Cappadocia good for families?

Yes, for children who are fine with stairs and early starts. Cave hotels have a lot of steps, so I choose rooms carefully.

How do you get to Cappadocia?

Fly from Istanbul to Kayseri or Nevşehir, a short domestic flight. I arrange the private transfer to your hotel.

Cappadocia · 7 nights

Shall we make it yours?

Tell me your dates and who’s coming. I plan group trips, and luxury trips above $8k.
